From the outside, we immediately saw a fragile roof material. However, it was the dwellings of a married couple that have a little daughter and a brother of the husband. Occasionally, their parents come to stay. I wonder how they perceive that near-collapsed roof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every material in this dwelling has been through many events and seems to have a strong anity with its dwellers. In a way, these materials become a body that is able to stand up for oneself. As time goes on, it is experiencing the tremendous chaos that accumulates so that the relationship becomes chaotic. Even inside, it feels like a place to trap souls, no penetrated sunlight that makes the room humid. A suocating cooking smoke may be trapped under the ceiling. It has no more room for the body to grow, rather termites gnaw at its body. I said,\u201cWe should neutralize this, we cannot let their soul and body collapse.\u201dIt might sound like Shinigami.1<\/a><\/sup> Finally, architects and builders conducted surveys,and drew a plan to advance the cause of the chaos, then absorbed new souls that were made of a well-forged shell to their old core. Thus they certainly hoped for a reconstruction that would \u201creborn\u201d a mixed-blood that was stronger and had special abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Long story short, the reconstruction started with a very cool-looking yet functional design. We decided to just tear down the roof which was almost collapsing and build a new, more comfortable,bright, and spacious space above the ground-level walls. For some reason, when the roof was torn down, I realized that from the beginning, this old body had been content with a special ability and incredible endurance to survive until the “newborn” is coming. We are all actually just waiting for the birth of Fullbringer2<\/a><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This time, I mistakenly thought of myself as a Shinigami, that was too bragging. Though, I would rather just be the storyteller3<\/a><\/sup> that respectfully records their waiting period. Waiting for birth in the construction site seems to have a parallel story and contain more meaning besides being defined in advance (the design). On the construction site, we saw the body evolve everyday. The old components were situated and the new components were forming relationships within the space. Therefore, I put the construction photos as a journal of concrete images and informed the clients at the end of a week. I would like to convey the energy and attitude4<\/a><\/sup> of this upcoming being.<\/p>\n<\/div> Perhaps, I managed to record and report almost everything that happened on the construction site. Every week, I collected 7-10 pictures and curated them on one page to be a short story and shared it with clients. Some of them were from the head of the field, and some I took with my foggy rear mobile phone camera.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n The short-awaited moment was almost over. In the 17th week, I had gone to announce the good news to the clients, that they finally could reunite. It was not like a celebrating moment, but rather an introduction. While moving the old stuff, the client and I did an inspection together. It turned out that this intro cannot be called smooth and sound. There were leaks here and there, defects in the door lining, or the placement of furniture that had to be changed. I said, \u201cLet’s just wait a little longer and see how it adapts by residing materials and empowering those around it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Gratefully, thereafter the client no longer waited for my story; instead, he was very enthusiastic about telling how his newborn developed.
